Prof. Haiquan Zhao

Professor Haiquan Zhao is a Doctor of Engineering, a professor, a senior member of IEEE and the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a highly cited scholar recognized by Elsevier, among the top 0.05% of scholars globally (ScholarGPS), one of the top 2% of scientists globally (Stanford), an academic and technological leader in Sichuan Province, an outstanding expert with significant contributions in Sichuan Province, a recipient of the Sichuan Province Outstanding Youth Fund, a specially appointed expert in the Sichuan Province Association for Science and Technology Hai Zhi Plan, a core member of the Sichuan Province Youth Science and Technology Innovation Team, and one of the first heads of the Innovation Studio at Southwest Jiaotong University. He has received 6 provincial and ministerial awards including the First Prize in Natural Science from the Chinese Automation Society, the Second Prize in Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Education, and the China Railway Science and Technology Progress Award, as well as the Tang Lixin Excellent Scholar Award. He serves on the editorial boards of several international SCI journals, including IEEE TASP, IEEE TSMCA, IEEE SPL, Signal Processing, and others. His main research areas are signal processing, pattern recognition, and artificial intelligence.
